Michael Heltau is adored and loved by his public. The actor who has passed his studies at the famous Max Reinhardt Seminar in Vienna, had stage appearances at almost every great theatre in the German-speaking world. At the Salzburg Festival where he has worked regularly he appeared for the first time under the direction of Giorgio Strehler in 1965. For almost forty years he is a member of the Vienna Burgtheater and has got the honorary title of its "Doyen" in 1993. Until these days he is celebrated for his interpretations as a chansonnier.
